Early Resolution Eviction Mediation Program
The Early Resolution Program provides an opportunity for landlords and tenants who have an upcoming court date to meet with a neutral mediator from Mediate Wisconsin to resolve their issues. If the parties come to an agreement (also called a stipulation), they do not need to go to court.
The agreement is filed with the court, and if participants meet the terms of the agreement, the case will be resolved with a stipulated dismissal. This means the tenant will not have a judgment of eviction on their record.
Mediations are held virtually through Zoom.
If you do not have a case filed but are facing an issue headed towards eviction, you can still apply for mediation directly through Mediate Wisconsin here
