Change a Gender Marker on a Wisconsin Birth Certificate
From TRANS LAW HELP:
At this point in Wisconsin, only people who have had what the law describes as a “surgical sex-change procedure” may legally change their gender marker. See Wis. Stat. 69,15 (4)(b).
You should discuss with your healthcare provider(s) whether, in their medical opinion, the gender affirming care you receive qualifies as a “surgical sex-change procedure.”
NOTE: Wisconsin requires either an F or M gender marker on birth certificates. There is no gender neutral or X option.
